Current research shows the importance of beginning music lessons as early as possible. (Click here for links to articles and research.) We weren't satisfied with the options for pre-school music then available in the St. George area. Nor were we aware of any national programs that were adequate and were prepared to write our own curriculum. (We both have degrees in music.)

That's when the Harmony Road Music Curriculum found us! This system for early-music learners is used by more than 150 professional music studios throughout the world. Jan Keyser developed the course back in 1981. Jan has advanced degrees in both music education and early childhood development. The program is designed to work with children at an age appropriate level to teach them the fundamentals of music - rhythm, pitch, tempo, dynamics, reading, writing - using a holistic approach, to develop complete musicianship.

Hearing ... feeling ... moving ... singing ... creating ... sharing ... reading ... and playing MUSIC ... children absorb and store musical patterns and concepts for enjoyment and growth in all of their musical endeavors. Harmony Road Courses are group lessons that include parent involvement in each lesson, ensuring clear understanding for both parent and child.
